Interior designer & educator focused on color and textiles

Susan K. Tully, ASID, is an interior designer with a portfolio of private and multi-family residences in northern New Jersey and the Washington DC area, and luxury hotels in the Washington area, Boston, MA, and Annapolis, MD. Her work is inspired by travel, art, and history. As an adjunct professor at Marymount University, she focused on hospitality design and international projects. Her work as an interior designer also draws up on skills she developed during an extensive career at the U.S. Department of State as a writer, editor, researcher, diplomat, and filmmaker. She has also designed theater sets and costumes.

Susan is a professional member of ASID and serves on the ASID New York Metro Communications Committee. She was the Communications Director and Finance Director for ASID's Washington Metro Chapter, and received several Presidential Citation awards. She served on the Historic Preservation Committee in Rutherford, NJ, and developed an online walking tour of its historic downtown.

Susan earned her M.A. in Interior Design from Marymount University, a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, and an M.A. in History from The Ohio State University.  She is NCIDQ and WELL AP certified.
